New Music: Beyonce “Black Parade”

It’s all black everything on Beyonce‘s anthemic new single, “Black Parade.” Released on Juneteenth, Beyonce is celebrating black culture in the biggest way on the new single. Like “Formation,” the upbeat number is sure to be a black anthem for years to come. In connection with the release, Beyonce launched a new website as a directory for black-owned businesses in an array of sectors. It’s amazing to see Beyonce using her celebrity to shine light on up and coming entrepreneurs.

When discussing the release, Beyonce stated “Being Black is your activism. Black excellence is a form of protest. Black joy is your right.” Through the National Urban League, proceeds from the song will help Beyonce’s BeyGOOD’s Black Business Impact Fund support Black-owned small businesses in need. On the song, Beyonce’s spits bars celebrating black culture backed by a marching band similar to her Beychella performance.
