DFD Music Taps Beatking & Alexis Branch For Sweet New Single “OOO Baby”

It ain’t nothing but a Texas thing for a seductive remake.

Billboard charting recording act DFD Music enlists the buzzworthy talents of songstress Alexis Branch (“SWV”) and platinum-selling rapper Beatking (“Toot That”) for the release of the duo’s new single, “Ooo Baby.” Sampling the classic love song “Sweet Lady” by Tyrese, the record pays homage to a legend DFD looks up to and respected in the music industry.

Produced, mixed and mastered by DFD-themselves, “Ooo Baby” is reminiscent of classic R&B, but has a new, current, upbeat twist for fans around the world to enjoy.  Alexis Branch’s attractive vocals wow with Beatking — who was instantly drawn to the song — seasoning the track with his signature raunchy dirty south wordplay.

Beatking responded back instantly stating “that he liked the record but was on the road towards Atlanta and wanted to record the verse when he got to Atlanta,” said DFD’s Davis Chris in a press release on Beatking’s feature.  So at 3am in the midst of the rain storm they all linked in Atlanta where Beatking wrote and recorded his verse in less than ten minutes giving the record that instant gratification it needed to be completed.

One of Tyrese’s biggest hits, on his 1998 debut Tyrese, “Sweet Lady” reached #9 on Billboard’s Hot Hip-Hop/R&B charts and peaked at #12 on Billboard’s Hot 100. The song was Grammy-nominated in 2000 for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. In 2000, Tyrese won Favorite New R&B/Soul Artist at the American Music Awards.

DFD Music is the 8x multi-genre Billboard chart-topping duo of Davis Chris and Mr. Foster. Their credits include collaborations with a-listers, like Iggy Azalea, Yo Gotti, Duke Deuce and so many more. Now, stepping from behind-the-boards, the duo look to make their own mark on the top of the charts.

You’ll find “Ooo Baby” on DFD’s forthcoming project, currently untitled, slated for late-2021 release, available on all streaming platforms via DFD Music. Beatking appears on the song, courtesy of Columbia Records and the amazing Alexis Branch appears, courtesy Walnut Hill Productions.
