Mary J. Blige Releases New Album “Good Morning Gorgeous”

All hail the nine-time Grammy winner, the Queen, Mary J. Blige as she releases her 15th  R&B album titled “Good Morning Gorgeous.” 

“Good Morning Gorgeous” features 13 tracks with collaborations from Anderson.Paak, Fivio Foreign, Dave East, Usher, H.E.R. and more.  Their were three tracks released over the past couple of months including previously-released title track ‘Amazing’ featuring DJ Khaled.

“Good Morning Gorgeous” is a musical work of art that tells the story of her life with tracks like ‘Here With Me’ Feat. Anderson.Paak,  ‘Amazing’ Feat. DJ Khaled, ‘Rent Money’, feat. Dave East and the duet “Need Love” feat. Usher.

In a press release Blige says the title of the album “Good Morning Gorgeous” is based on her well documented divorce.  Bilge says “…she’s is in a really important place, a place of self acceptance and self love and to keep growing in that direction. Ready to speak from a place of positivity greeting myself with positive affirmations… ”

The title Track ‘7 ‘Good Morning Gorgeous, Blige affirms ” …I wake up every morning and tell myself /Good Morning Gorgeous/ sometimes you gotta look in the mirror and say/ Good Morning Gorgeous / no one else can make me feel this way/ Good Morning Gorgeous…” This is definitely a life affirming anthem for women, one of autonomy to feel and become empowered, standing firm on your own two feet, putting yourself first and finding peace.

Looking fabulous as she recently celebrated her 51st birthday, Mary J.Blige still reigns supreme, living in her own truth, living life on her own terms and believing in herself. What a great space to be, congratulations Queen Mary.  ThisIsRnB is loving every single track on the album!

In addition the album release, Blige will be performing at the highly anticipated Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show on Sunday February 13.
