Kem releases live album to celebrate 20th Motown anniversary

R&B/Soul singer, songwriter, and musician, Kem released his album last Friday, “Anniversary – The Live Album,” in commemoration of his 20-year partnership with Motown Records. The 12-track album was recorded last year at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre in Detroit, which is the singer’s hometown. The album features live renditions of some of his greatest hits, including “Love Calls,” “I Can’t Stop Loving You,” “Nobody,” and “Why Would You Stay.” Kem also recently released his first book, “Share My Life: A Journey of Love, Faith, and Redemption,” a memoir about his journey from humble beginnings and struggles to his successful career.

Keithian released a lyrical entangled new single “Ways”

In his first single of 2023, Keithian returns with ‘Ways.” Caught in an emotional entanglement, the Los Angeles singer-songwriter and film producer spins the story of whether he is in love or not. With many obstacles ahead of him he makes his way the best way he can.   “Ways” is the lead single from his highly anticipated EP, Human, and is the follow-up to his “Green Clouds,” released in 2022.

In addition to the album, Keithian is preparing to accompany VEDO on the road for the 14-city “Mood Swings Tour.”

Daniel Caesar released his new album, “Never Enough”

The 15-track album includes singles such as “Let Me Go,” and “Valentina.” The album was executive produced by Dylan Wiggins and includes features with Ty Dolla $ign, Mustafa, Omara Apollo, and serpentwithfeet. This is Caesar’s first album drop since his 2019 album, “Case Study 01.” The tracks sound like a mix of R&B, soul, and even Lofi- so a good variety of sounds.

Leon Thomas’ new single”Crash & Burn”  is an inevitable breakup song.

“Crash & Brun” is a sad song that finds Leon Thomas searching for meaning and love in a crappy relationship that ultimately ends with a breakup. With this emotion-laden track, Thomas so convincingly delivers the pain, and you can feel his angst as he tries to avoid the unavoidable.

“Crash & Burn,” the fourth track from his expected debut album, “Electric Dusk” is set to release this summer.

LaTocha release debut, an inspirational solo album

Former Xscape group member, LaTocha has released her debut solo album, “The Invitation: A Conversation with God.” Although the album is inspirational, LaTocha gives some gospel and R&B vibes, so it can definitely cross genres. The 11-track album features the single, “Afraid,” which is about learning to trust and love again, especially from a faith standpoint.

“I’m afraid to trust again/ If you can please hold my hand/I still want you
So don’t move/Cause I can’t live this life by myself”

LaTocha was also featured on Bravo’s series “SWV & Xscape: The Queen of R&B,” which focused on a one-night performance of the two R&B groups.
