Rachel Renee unviels official music video for single “Remember”

By

Soulful R&B songstress Rachel Renee has released an official video for her latest single “Remember,” the first ahead of her upcoming album that is expected later this year.  The single has already amassed over 100k streams on Spotify.

It’s easy for Rachel Renee’s ‘Remember’ to get stuck in your head, with her unique beautiful vocal delivery and catchy hook, you’ll reminisce on a past love that still ignites passion within your heart.

The video is a visually cinematic treat. It features a stunning palatial home filled with a grand piano and a backdrop of ocean and beach combined with eye-catching sexiness that draws you into the plot of the story.

Speaking on the video Renne says, “Making the Remember video is everything to me. This song was the reason I got back into music and why my amazing team was assembled – because they heard the song and saw the vision. Watching the video, and seeing it how it came out like a mini-movie (which we had envisioned), really makes me happy, because it was shot in only one day and the work that was put in really shines through. I flew to a different city to shoot it, without knowing anyone, and yet it was like I knew all the actors, models, dancers, and the production team, for years.”

The story itself unfortunately rings all too familiar for some love stories when one listens to outside so-called friends, who proclaim to have your better interest at heart.  Someone outside of the relationship inserts themselves into your business.

One might assume Renee jumped to conclusions from the video based solely on a text clip sent to her from a girlfriend. The clip only showed her fiance’ quickly embracing, letting go, and walking while conversing with another woman. Could the woman be a coworker or an old friend? Was there any other evidence of the girlfriend approaching them and him acting suspiciously? Had the girlfriend overheard a conversation held by the two in the video? All of these are open to speculation and require further investigation. The audience is left to pick up and figure out the pieces of this story as there are so many variables.

Renee has lost the love of her life, a handsome man who romanced her, wined her, and dined her. As evidenced by the engagement, this man appeared to be fully devoted to her and the relationship. A superb performance by Renee conveys the pain, hurt, and heartache of true love lost as she clings to the beautiful memories of their love affair.

Despite the juxtaposition between the words Loved and the empty ring box, the ending leaves a plot twist. Is her man coming back? Is she going to give him another chance? Is she going to give him another chance?

Renee has done an excellent job of leaving us with a cliffhanger, leaving us wanting and craving more of the story.
