The Weeknd is the man of the year. Having already broken 1 chart record this year, the R&B star has now scored his first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Can’t Feel My Face.”

After spending three weeks at No. 2, the Max Martin-produced song becomes the 1,045th No. 1 in the history of the chart. It also tops the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for a fourth week.

Abel dethrones one of the summer’s biggest hits OMI’s “Cheerleader,” which drops to No. 2 on the Hot 100 after four weeks in the No. 1 spot.

In the past year, The Weeknd has claimed three top 10s including “Love Me Harder” with Ariana Grande, which reached No. 7 in November 2014, “Earned It” off the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack (No. 3 in May), and “The Hills” (No. 10). Earlier this summer he became the first artist to own the top 3 spots on the Hot R&B Songs chart.

The Weeknd’s much-anticipated sophomore album, Beauty Behind the Madness, is due out August 28, see the tracklisting here.
