Mariah Carey took a break from her successful Las Vegas residency, bringing some of her Sin City show to The Big Easy on Saturday night (July 2), while headlining Day 2 of the 2016 Essence Festival.

MC’s performance had some similarities to her “Number 1 Hits” Vegas show, but the diva was also able to use the festival setting to deliver some unexpected gems, and surprises for the crowd!

“I personally like this one the best, but you didn’t hear me say that,” Mariah jokingly told the audience of the other “Honey” remix — that is, not the one with Puff Daddy and The Lox — before she brought out Da Brat and Jermaine Dupri to recreate the classic 1997 remix.

Mariah wasn’t going to let Da Brat leave there though, as she stormed the stage once again for the head boppin “Ain’t No Fun” sampled “Heartbreaker (Desert Storm Remix),” which also featured Missy Elliot, who was sadly absent.

Check out some fan footage of those performances, and more below.
