I just take it day by day / Never hearing what they say.”

SZA is doing it her way on the brand new song, “Broken Clocks,” the third release off the Top Dawg songstresses anticipated debut album, Ctrl.

Over an atmospheric production, SZA gives a honest insight into her past life. Hating the grind of a day job, she sings about the monotony of the grind while dealing with an annoying ex-boyfriend.

“Got a shift at 10 am, got to dip at 10 pm / Got to get that cash, won’t get passed the lunch break,” she sings. “I ain’t had a smoke break in about two days / Been about three years since I dated you / Why you still talking about me like we together / I moved on for the better.”

“Broken Clocks” is the latest release from Ctrl, which is set to debut on June 9. The album has already spawned the Drew Barrymore-approved “Drew Barrymore” and the Travis Scott-assisted “Love Galore.”
