What You May Have Missed Mondays

What You May Have Missed

By

Over the recent years, the release of R&B music has steered away from only being released on certain days of the week. Since there’s always something new coming out or some breaking news that hits the web, we know it’s sometime difficult to stay updated all things R&B — even on your days off over the weekend.

Although we’re always here to give you day-by-day updates, we figured giving you a recap of some of the best R&B tracks and moments from weekend’s past (and sometimes a little before) at the top of each week is a great way for you to hear all the good stuff in one place.

Here’s what you may have missed over the past few days.

June’s Diary finally gave fans their two new songs and it’s a good follow-up.

“I drip sauce and it’s forgien,” talk about “Stuntin” on them!

June’s Diary released their latest singles “Stuntin” and “I Ain’t With It” this weekend and they are making sure to let us all know that R&B girl groups are back. “Stuntin” has a seductive rhythm and tight vocals, which made the perfect combination for what the industry has been needing and missing. And with their lyrics to “I Ain’t With It,” the group proves that women aren’t going to keep letting men treat them any old kind of way. Guys you better come correct, or don’t come at all. While there was a delay in getting these songs to us, we’re hoping the ladies don’t keep us waiting too much longer for the videos to accompany.

11:11 released his “Mood” EP and it deserves a listen.

After a three year hiatus, 11:11 has finally released his new EP titled Mood. And yes, he is really setting the mood. These six powerful tracks with have you on an emotional rollercoaster with falling in and out of love. This romantic R&B singer has some of our favorite tracks, “Good Love” and “Flames.”

Gallant joined The Knocks on the single “Exit Sign.”

Gallant has had us craving more since the recent release of the Sabrina Claudio-featured “Compromise” and now he’s giving it to us. Joining forces with The Knocks, “Exit Sign” has a totally different vibe from his recent song, but he didn’t let us down with this latest hit. And, with songs like this, we’re getting more excited for the October 25 release of his sophomore album, Sweet Insomnia.

Teyana Taylor joined Seyi Shay on the fire remix to “Gimme Love.”

Teyana Taylor premiered the remix to Seyi Shay’s “Gimme Love” on Friday and this Caribbean feel good song is giving us the last remnants of summer in New York. The song originally featured Runtown, but Teyana’s vocals really made it hard to believe she hadn’t been on from the start. The songbirds really show their sexy yet playful side and why a remix was so necessary. The song and video makes it easy to keep it on repeat.

Lucky Daye dropped a visual to accompany his single, “Love You Too Much.”

Rising star Lucky Daye is having more than just a “lucky day” when it comes to his career. Since the release of his album “Painted” earlier this year, the singer-songwriter has found a place in the heart’s of R&B lovers everywhere and his latest visual for “Love You Too Much” only made the love for him stronger.
