Not everyone has a quarantine bae, and some relationships might even be on the brink during these difficult times with the Coronavirus pandemic. A looming breakup is the premise for songstress LUVK’s latest single “Chopped.” The song is an impassioned heart-to-heart about accepting the fate that a spiraling relationship is ending. She realizes she fell in a hole, allowing herself to be treated in a way where her partner didn’t value her worth. And she doesn’t want to leave but that seems like her only option.
We first introduced you to LUVK in march, a multi-faceted artist fusing R&B and rock ‘n’ roll. Her style is unique, and “Chopped” as well as her previous single “Dead Wrong” put it on display. She sings and rhymes with bold expressions that send you on an emotional roller coaster.
Both singles will be on her forthcoming debut album, It Wasn’t Luck, which was delayed because of the current pandemic.
