There’s not much better than a NYC rooftop performance in the summer. On Wednesday evening, Caroline Distribution brought some great vibes to media and tastemakers with just that, as they held an intimate showcase coined “Midsummer Night’s Dream R&B Rooftop Concert” with Avant, Vivian Green, and rising singer/actor Rotimi.
As the opening act, Rotimi had a big surprise in store for the crowd, and set up the night with great energy when he brought out 50 Cent to perform the remix to his single “Lotto.”
Next up was Philly native and R&B songstress Vivian Green who performed a 4 song set, including 2 tracks off her brand new album Vivid, one of which was her Urban AC hit “Get Right Back To My Baby.”
R&B veteran Avant was the headliner of the evening, as the sun set he gave the crowd an emotional performance, previewing several songs from his forthcoming new album The VIII, which is due out September 25 and has been led by the sexy single “Special.”
