The brothers attribute the introduction to music and continuing nurturing of their musical curiosity to their father, who played the keyboard in a band.

During an awe-inspiring conversation, ThisIsRnB had the absolute pleasure of speaking with one-half of the dynamic duo, IZ Avila.  From childhood to signing with legendary Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to meeting Usher for the first time at one of the recording studios. IZ shares the brothers’ musical journey, working with Usher on various projects, over 20 years, and his RIAA Certified Diamond Album “Confessions.”

IZ talks about the “Tale of the Tape” on how collaborating with  Lil Jon on Usher’s Vegas Residency and manifesting the moment with that great musical experience, afforded the brothers the amazing opportunity of the Superbowl 2024.

Besides working with megastars, the Avila Brothers are committed to helping kids realize their dreams and become the next generation of musicians by providing them with the support and encouragement they need.  The Avila Brothers share a passion for cultivating kids’ dreams and work closely with the “Turn Around Hearts” organization founded by former First Lady Michelle Obama.
