While his breakout EP only featured 6 tracks, newcomer Mike Jay made sure he made you want more. Getting his start penning for some of your favorite artists including Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, and Ciara, the L.A. native took a step from behind the pen to showcase his own artistry.
Featuring the YG and Too $hort assisted single, “For A Week,” The Mike Jay EP is a great combination of pure R&B and modern sounds. Beginning with the provocative track, “Real Strippers” and keeping the sexy going, the 6-track project is a definite hit in the R&B department. Doing the Shai sampled single “BFF” much justice, the growing artist proved that he plans to be an artist to watch in 2015. – K.P.
