08. TREY SONGZ – TREMAINE
With over 10 years in the music industry, 6 albums, and countless mixtapes/EP’s under his belt, Trey Songz has proved his stake in the game, and it’s obvious that he has no plans in stopping any time soon. Transforming from feeling like he’s just “Gotta Make It” to now being “Blessed,” Trigga Trey has kept his fan base throughout the years and added on with the continuously impressive projects year after year.
Following the release of 2014’s Trigga however, fans were left waiting on the follow-up that hasn’t yet arrived. In 2016 though, he has all intents and purposes to change that. Setting the release of his 7th studio album Tremaine for this year, we’re praying that it reflects the sounds of some of his earlier material – Anticipation included – that we yearned for the most.
Speaking about the album last year, Trey shared: “It’s just another layer of myself. The ‘Tremaine’ album will kind of be like the base of what my career started as. In music now, in R&B and hip hop, I feel like it’s easy to make women feel sexy and be a bad bitch, but I feel like the ‘Tremaine’ album will kind of put women on the pedestal again, and show that it’s cool to love, it’s cool to want to be romantic, it’s cool to want to be in a relationship.”
